All of the cats have been doused with flea dope. Three of these four cats recovered their equanimity within five (Jemmy) to twenty (Pretty Boy) minutes. Bob, of course, was the hardest to dose and is still not speaking to me. Early this morning, not quite at the break of dawn, I got the drop on Mr. C. A. (Pretty Boy) Floyd, the cat, who was enjoying the cooler weather by snuggling into the duvet. I blinked at me a couple of times, I doused him with Flea Dope, and it still took him several seconds to process what had happened.
